After their first thrilling encounter on April 8, we finally get our chance to see a rematch between Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans in this 15th edition of the Indian Premier League.

The most successful franchise in IPL history, the Mumbai Indians are the undisputed kings of this league, winning the title 5 times, including in the last 2 seasons back-to-back. Owned by the family of the richest man in India – Mukesh Ambani, Mumbai Indians are the most well-run club off the pitch as well. They have traditionally boasted of the strongest of squads on paper, with some of the finest players to have graced this sport plying their trade for them at some point of their careers, none bigger than Sachin Tendulkar, who was the original icon player for this franchise.

Standing in the 8th position in the league, MI have lost two games getting into this match as compared to KKR's 2-1 record. However, it has been a common occurrence for Mumbai to lose several of their first few games, only to bag winning streaks in the matches to come. With that in mind, MI look to be the stronger team.

Kolkata Knight Riders will face the Punjab Kings (previously known as Kings XI Punjab or KXIP) for the 8th match of the IPL 15th edition. KKR is said to be having a slight edge over PBKS this season.

Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians will face each other for the second match of the 15th edition Indian Premier League. The two teams have battled each other 30 times in the history of the IPL. From those 30, Mumbai Indians have won 16 games. Whereas the Capitals have won 14.

Veteran Indian middle-order batsman Suresh Raina left the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction empty-handed as he was unsold in the two-day event which concluded on Sunday, February 13, at the Hotel ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru.

The Indian Premier League 2022 concluded this year's edition of the mega auction yesterday. A total of 204 players were sold in the two-day event, including 66 overseas players. The auction recorded a total of INR 551.7 crore spent or roughly INR 2.7 crores per player in addition to INR 324.2 crores being spent to retain 33 players.
