History

Sunrisers Hyderabad have been fairly successful of late, winning 2 titles and qualifying for the play-offs regularly. DC on the other hand, have not won the title yet, and more disappointingly, haven’t even reached the final yet. These two teams have faced each other 15 times in total since SRH was renamed, out of which SRH have won 9 times, and DC could only muster 5 wins, with one match being abandoned. Delhi are sitting pretty at the top of the league table with 2 wins out of 2, while SRH have lost both their games so far, and are rock bottom of the table.

Team News

Delhi Capitals are looking like a very solid unit this time around. They have the best Indian batting line up in the league, with a remarkable top order consistently performing well, and then followed by the big hitting Marcus Stoinis. The form of Hetmyer is a slight worry though, and he might be replaced by Alex Carey in this match. The bowling has been brilliant so far, with Mishra and Axar being remarkably efficient in the spin bowling department, while the South African duo of Nortje and Rabada are bowling at a fiery pace to trouble batsmen.

SRH are in a very poor run of form of late. Though Manish Pandey has been consistent, both their star openers Warner and Bairstow have failed to truly dominate in their usual style, and they are desperately missing Kane Williamson in the number 3 role. Regarded as the best bowling side in the tournament, their star bowlers are also not performing as well as expected, with Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar etc all performing below their usual high standards.

Betting Preview, Picks And Prediction

To Win The Match

Delhi Capitals are the favourites to win the match with odds of 1.80 as per Bet 365. They are currently joint leaders of the league with a 100% record, after an impressive win against the mighty CSK.  SRH to win has odds of 2.00, as per Bet 365, primarily because of their poor form, as they are the only side in the league that is yet to win a game, and are at the bottom with 0 points after 2 matches.

Top Team Batsman

Last season’s top scorer Shikhar Dhawan is the favourite to be Delhi’s top batsman in this match with odds of 3.75. His opening partner Prithvi Shaw has odds of 4.00 after his impressive innings in the previous match, while captain Shreyas Iyer has odds of 5.00.

SRH captain David Warner is unsurprisingly the favourite to be their top batsman in this match with odds of 3.00. His opening partner Johnny Bairstow has odds of 3.60, while the dependable Kane Williamson has odds of 3.75, if he manages to play. The consistent Manish Pandey has odds of 5.50, which is an attractive bet.

Highest Opening Partnership

SRH are favourites at 1.72 to have the highest opening partnership in this match, as they are widely considered to have the best opening pair in the tournament, in Warner and Bairstow. However, they are not in form, so Delhi to have the highest opening partnership at 2.10 is also very attractive.

Top Team Bowler

South African pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada is in brilliant form of late, and is DC’s favourite to be the top bowler, at 3.00, followed by the experienced Amit Mishra at 4.50.

Rashid Khan is unsurprisingly SRH’s favourite to be the top team bowler at 3.00, followed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar at 4.50.

Total Runs In The Match

Odds of there being more than 326.5 runs in this match are 1.83, as per Bet 365. This is not surprising as both these teams possess immense firepower. DC have a very deep batting lineup while SRH have one of the best batting top orders in the league. Hence, the required average score per team for this bet, which is just 164, is very likely.

Individual Player Betting

  • David Warner to score more than 28.5 runs has odds of 1.83 , which is a tempting bet as he would be eager to bounce back after a couple of poor performances. Shikhar Dhawan to score more than 23.5 runs has odds of 1.83 as well, which is again very tempting as he looks to be in good touch.
  • Both teams to hit the most sixed has odds of 2.05 each, while Shikhar Dhawan to hit just one six has odds of 1.90.
  • Rabada to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 1.90, while Rashid Khan to take 2 or more wickets has odds of 2.25, which is likely as he is their main threat.

Our Top Betting Picks

  • DC to win the match @1.90
  • RCB to hit the most sixes @2.10
  • MI to have the Highest Opening Partnership @1.80
  • Chahal to be RCB’s top wicket-taker @3.50
