IPL 2022 prediction: Four teams to play in play-off this season

The Indian Premier League season 2022 has been running since March 26 in Mumbai and Pune cricket stadiums. 22 games have been held since then involving 10 different super teams. The season will end on May 29 after 70 games have been held.

All teams have performed their best in the games with fans chanting and supporting their matches every afternoon and evening. As of now, underdogs have won games, multiple-champion teams never won any, and a new incredible achievement carved into the history of the IPL.

People have been analyzing the outcome of the IPL since the start. They predicted which four teams would survive the season and play against each other in the play-off. Here is the analysis we found with four different teams predicted to play. Check them out below.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

RCB is on fire this season ranking third and winning three out of four games as of present. They are unbeatable against Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, and Mumbai Indians. But they lost in their opening game against Punjab Kings. Their fifth game is on April 12, 2022 against CSK who have not had a win this season.

The debuting captain Faf du Plessis replacing Virat Kohli is not a matter of concern for fans. The team is strengthened with his captainship due to his experienced background. His team is also complete with strong bowlers including Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, Wandindu Hasaranga, and Mohammad Siraj.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

GT has played four games thus far and won three of them. They won against Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, PBKS, but lost against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their next game is on April 14 against RR.

GT has currently ranked fifth in the IPL thanks to the effort of the new and experienced players. Captain Hardik Pandy is one of the greatest assets to the team since he can drive any team to victory no matter their strength. Besides him as the core players are S Gill, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia & David Miller.

Delhi Capitals (DC)

With the best retention and buys, DC has roped in an all-star player in the mega auction of IPL 2022 back in February. They got David Warner who top-scored in the last game, as well as Mitchell Marsh, David Warner, Shardul Thakur, Chetan Sakariya, Rovman Powell, and more.

DC has played four games in IPL 2022 and has seen two wins and two losses. They won the first match against Mumbai Indians by four wickets, and the fourth against Kolkata Knight Riders by 44 runs. But they lost the second and third games against Lucknow Super Giants and GT by a small margin. Their fifth game is on April 16 against RCB. Even so, they are ranked sixth in IPL 2022.

Punjab Kings (PBKS)

PBKS has a run of winning since the beginning of IPL with two victories over four games. They won first against RCB and third against CSK. But they lost their second game against KKR and fourth against GT. Their next game is tomorrow Wednesday, April 13.

PBKS won big in the mega auction for IPL 2022. The team bought Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, Rishi Dhawan, and Jonny Bairstow. Mayank Agarwal with zero experience as captain is also a pleasant surprise for the team as he leads spectacularly.
