Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have their own strategy in this issue of IPL. They bid Ishan Kishan for INR 15.25 crore. This is the most expensive player purchase of the entire event. After Ishan, MI invested in domestic star Jaydev Unadkat and chose Jofra Archer, Tim David, Tymal Mills, and Daniel Sam.

Possible XI: Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma (captain), N Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Kieron Pollard, Tim David, Fabien Allen, Tymal Mills, Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Markande/Murugran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah.

Chennai Super Kings

Chennai kept its core by forming one of the toughest squads in the 15th season. Eight of their confirmed XI players were players who won the IPL title the previous season. They have great punches, powerful attack speed, and incredible spin as well.

Possible XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Devon Conway, Ambati Rayudu, Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (captain), Shivam Dube, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar, Adam Milne, Hangargekar

Kolkata Knight Riders

Just like Chennai Super King, Kolkata Knight Riders also retained their core team from last season. They bought back Nitish Rana, Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, and Shreyas Iyer. Alex Hales in the squad will be the first-choice opener. For the Indian contingent, Venkatesh is seen as an intermediate order option. KKR can also unlock with the Hales-Narine pair and recreate the famous Lynn-Narine strategy. Sheldon Jackson is Syed Mushtaq Ali's goalkeeper and batsman

Possible XI: Venkatesh Iyer, Alex Hales, Shreyas Iyer, Nitish Rana, Sheldon Jackson, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Pat Cummins, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav.

King of Punjab

The team has a strong top-flight line-up, two hard hitters in Shahrukh Khan and Odean Smith as finishers, and a thorough bowling attack consisting of Kagiso Rabada as the speed attack leader. They have experienced Rishi Dhawan and U19 World Cup star Raj Bawa. Arshdeep and Odean are expected to complete Rabada in the speed department.

Possible XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Mayank Agarwal, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Shahrukh Khan, Rishi Dhawan/Raj Bawa, Odean Smith, Harpreet Brar, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada.

Hyderabad Sunrisers

The Sunrisers overcame their mistakes from last season and bagged more bowlers in the line-up this season. To finish top of the list is the three options attack with Rahul Tripathi, Glenn Philips, and Aiden Markram. Sunrisers also only had one spinner to add to the lineup between Sundar, Suchith, and Shreyas Gopal - but none of them are bowlers.

Possible XI: Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Kane Williamson, Abhishek Sharma, Nicolas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, Natarajan

Rajasthan Royals

The Rajasthan Royals chose Ashwin and Chahal as their front-line spinners and strengthened their bowling attack with Boult and Krishna. The top line-up is also somewhat worrying with the inexperienced Padikkal-Jaiswal combination.

Possible XI: Devdutt Padikkal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Jos Buttler, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, James Neesham, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Perhaps for the first time, Bangalore has had a better bowling attack than their batting lineup. The combination of speed Siraj, Harshal, and Hazlewood can collectively take from the three phases of bowling together. Meanwhile, RCB also has Maxwell and Shahbaz as round options.

Possible XI: Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Glenn Maxwell, Mahipal Lomror, Dinesh Karthik, Wanindu Hasaranga, Shahbaz Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazelwood

Delhi Capitals

This team has the most perfect combination so far in the league. They also have an attacking center-upper bowler Shardul Thakur, defensive spinner Axar Patel, and a powerplay goal-taking option at Nortje.

Possible XI: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (captain), Sarfaraz Khan, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Chetan Sakariya

Super Lucky Giant

This team has a good combination of openings and lots of versatile players who add depth on both sides. There are also their express speed combinations of Wood and Avesh.

Possible XI: KL Rahul (Captain), Quinton de Kock, Manish Pandey, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Mark Wood, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Krishnappa Gowtham/Ankit Rajpoot.

Gujarat Titans

The Gujarat Titans select their goalkeeper in an accelerated auction phase. While Marsh had his fitness issues and Kuldeep Yadav with his poor form and left Powell, the fifth bowling option, with a lot of responsibility.

Possible XI: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (captain), Sarfaraz Khan, Rovman Powell, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Chetan Sakariya
